Since the last week, I spent a week of great time in Bologna. Although the main purpose of the trip was to join the International Conference on Magnetism (ICM), I also took a chance to discover the area — culture, history, and food.
Especially the food, there were many nice things to try. Flavorful coffee, different types of hams, breads, pasti, … I am so well fed throughout the week, so I plan to do some diet in the coming weeks.

The area around Bologna (Emilia-Romagna) is full of great culture. Although I have only visited Parma and Modena (my wife explored a lot more while I am at the conference), I enjoyed a lot.

Finally, I also enjoyed great science contents from the conference! I think my presentation went quite well. Also, the focus symposium on orbitronics, which I organized together with Pietro Gambardella, turned out to be a big success!

During the week, I was able to meet my friends and colleagues over lunch and dinner. It was so nice to catch up and chill… not only taking about science and career but also about life!
