Our recent research article titled “Orbital Topology of Chiral Crystals” is now published in Advanced Materials 2418040 (2025).
We show that the band topology of a structurally chiral semimetal CoSi is driven by the orbital angular momentum. Clear signature of the orbital angular momentum of the multifold chiral fermion in CoSi was experimentally confirmed by photoemission. Additionally, we also show that the topological Fermi arc states on a surface is also orbitally polarized. The results are explained by theory and by state-of-the-art density functional theory calcuation.
